What is the NI Transfer Test?

Following the end of the 11+ test in Northern Ireland, the current Transfer Test actually refers to two separate post-primary transfer tests - commonly known as the AQE and the GL (named after the companies which organise the tests).

The transfer test that your child will take depends on their chosen grammar school. A small schools accept either AQE or GL, however most will only accept one of these.

It's the responsibility of parents to ensure they know which test their child will need to undertake, and to register correctly.
